Oh good grief Liz.

And here I was, prepared to drool out loud about how much I love amouryllis.

Fabulous flowers.

Love 'em.

amour is real

Filene's Basement did its annual "Running of the Brides," where deeply discounted wedding dresses are grabbed-up by a frenzied mob of desperate brides to be.

One picture from the Boston Globe's photo gallery struck me as particularly funny, captioned:

He's done his good deed for the day.

It does look like they're nuzzling over aperitifs.

You guys are still on your honeymoon, aren't you?

(Good for you!)

Every act of love is eternal in its effects, unlike logs. And Flower Power definitely reigns over Tree Power in the Appalachian Spring symphony by Aaron Copeland. We heard it on NPR this week and I was again amazed at how that music connects with me. What is anyone else's favorite musical piece, other than Bob Dylan.

I kind of like Depeche Mode's Behind the Wheel

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Sermon on the Mount
Gospel of Matthew

The lilies are much more beautiful than Isobel's creation.

Mad props to God.

It's cold outside.

I guess you can keep warm if you stay inside and fuck.

As for love music, I prefer a slightly less idealistic take.

JRH ...That song was without idealism, for sure. Love that tears people apart sounds like love hurts more than it heals. The answer may be in love between safe people with established boundaries. You have an interesting point of view on things.

Pachelbel Rant.

"My theory is he once dated a cellist."

Worth a listen if you haven't heard it before.
