Sports: where the fans of all teams except one end the season with a broken heart.

Go 'Niners!

The athletes must be relieved on some level that it ends. Time to let the body heal.

@Tim--In basketball, make that 2 teams. That's what the NIT is for.

Chip S. - sure, if you want to pick nits...

Meh, predictable. Ryan gets okay talent, applies a highly disciplined and methodical approach to the game.
No top recruit will go there.

@Tim--I did, but I didn't pick Syracuse.

You weren't supposed to win. Michigan State was supposed to win. As soon as the announcers started with the superiority of the Big Ten, you were doomed.

I was pulling for Wisky, but I gotta say, that last 15 seconds were pitiful. Coach shoulda' called a T.O. To calm his kids down, set a play, and let them know they need 2 not 3 points.

You were hobbled by playing in the big 10 were 50 pt games are expected, so there's not a big call for a guy who can go out and get his own shot.

And MSU was abused by UL. That should never happen. 18 pts. in the first half?!

Someone needs to teach you people about basketball. Number one rule of pig wrestling is don't do it. You get dirty, and the pig likes it. Same with basketball. The whole idea is simple, put the round ball in the hole more often than the other guy. You can do that 2 ways, shoot more than the other guy, or stop the other guy from shooting it. Limiting your own shots is contra-indicated. Bo may pull an upset or 2 but he won't win the championship.

Mu Buckeyes are rocking and rollin' Jared Sullinger is a beast.

Boy, that last possession was painful to watch. All in all, is was a better game than what I had expected.

Oh dear. Does anyone care to explain three-pointers (and math as well) to this poor soul?

Must really suck being such a bitter sourpuss.

The Badgers lost by one point in the Sweet Sixteen to a number one seed. Way to go, Badgers!

CG is awfully polite about it, "Meh, predictable. Ryan gets okay talent, applies a highly disciplined and methodical approach to the game".

I'll be more direct; Bo's game is almost unwatchable. His game theory is to bore the opposition into submission. And, he acts like a petulant jerk on the floor. I'll give him his due; he gets his teams ranked and into the tourney.

But with him at the helm, Sconie is the least watchable team in an otherwise very exciting B1G.

Yeah, that Sam Dekker kid is only a 5-star recruit who many recruiting experts think is one of the top 20 high school players in the country.

Its amazing how so many people have forgotten just how bad UW basketball was for about 50 years before Bo came to UW.

One doesn't contradict the other.

This is why Bo can do what he does. Same thing for Barry/Brett.

By the way Dick Bennett had Bucky in the Final Four.

"Recruiting experts"! The real recruiting experts are the colleges themselves. Other than UW, Dekker was recruited by Bradley, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, and UW-M.

Sam Dekker is a good ballplayer, and will fit in well at UW. But there's a reason no powerhouses came knockin' on his door.

And in interviews. Look, he's perfect for UW. He'll get Bucky in the NCAA's every year, and they'll make brief runs sometimes. Occasional Big10 champ. And UW Badger fans will rejoice!

@Iheart willy

I apply the kiss principle just for you sweetheart. Actual explanation of 2 pt. and 3 pt shooting, and defense, and just plain bad shooting is WAY above your pay grade. Hell, you're so stupid, you heart Willy.

Bo Ryan's NCAA Record:

1st round losses: 1
Second round losses: 5
3rd round losses: 4
4th round loss: 1

So 55% of the time he doesn't get past the second round, and 91% of the time he doesn't get past the third round.

so, predictable! And it says alot about UW fan expectations when a fan says "way to go" about a loss!

That last possession was embarrassing. At least MSU lost.

Bo wins with the talent he can recruit better than 90% of the teams in the NCAA.
