Too cold to Paddleboard.

Has the water cleared up any? It was awfully green in July.

Well didn't some Madison man wake up on the wrong side of the Near West Side.

The water is warm, clean, and refreshing. Plus, people on the lake are happy to give.

Great mid section workout...And it's good to use your balance senses...

Ah, there is nothing like being out on a lake after dark on a paddleboard!

Wingra tonight was bliss. No wind, no bugs, just the right temperature, log rollers, people grilling out, sun and clouds, soccer games.

Awesome.

Aren't you holding the paddle wrong way around?
Nice legs btw, Althouse.

"Aren't you holding the paddle wrong way around?"

Probably! I'm continually confused by which side is which. I've been told it's clear once you use it, and I keep trying one side and then the other in an effort to determine which way it goes. I need help!

I assume the concave side should go toward the back, but I'm not sure.

The hand grip suggests a way to hold it, but I keep rethinking what the suggestion is.

The "elbow" is supposed to be facing the paddler. Since the power from the stoke is towards the end of the stroke. the blade of the paddle will have a longer contact with the water.

What's the "elbow"? It's a straight paddle. There's a rib down the center of the paddle, and I'm never sure which side it should be on, but that doesn't sound like what you're talking about.

I looked up some websites showing this "elbow" you speak of, but I have never seen this angle in the paddles we rent. I'll look more closely next time, but that really looks like something that is not available to us.
