He looks a little bundled up. It's cold here too.

Dennis Moore: "Don't worry, I've brought you something"
Peasant: "Medicine, at last?"
"Nnnnooo . . ."
"Food?"
"Nope."
"Some blankets, perhaps? Clothes? Wood for the fire?"
"Nope . . . . LUPINS!"
"OH, CHRIST!!"

It was pretty cold for the last day of May. Beautiful, actually. In the 50s. We loved it!

This is the kind of rolling grassland that cheetahs finds congenial. Let's hope that someone doesn't tire of his expensive pet and release it into the wild. I bet if you released a couple, they would soon proliferate like Bermuda pythons in the Everglades. On the plus side, this would add a dimension of risk and adventure into the otherwise settled lives of Wisconsin burghers.

Not Beautiful. Too Cold.

It does lengthen the time the lupines will look good, though (we have some in the back yard) so there is that.

We took in Gov Nelson yesterday as well. A bit brisk near the lake, but otherwise gorgeous.

It was scorching here in the nation's capital when we went walking around and saw this cat in the window, which appears to have swallowed a fire hydrant. :)

There is a new tennis player in the country, Sloane Stephens.. At the French Open, she did well against Serena Williams though she lost.

@pm317, DC has its hottest May on record, I believe. Places in TX/OK broke wettest month records by many inches. Incredible!!

@MadisonMan, yes, we already had a few days in May that crossed 90.

Labradors are pretty much lupine all the time, aren't they, at least to some degree? Unless one runs afoul of Dennis Moore mounted on noble Concord and armed with a brace of pistols.
