"'Back to the Future' Writer: Biff Tannen Is Based on Donald Trump."

"You watch Part II again and there’s a scene where Marty confronts Biff in his office and there’s a huge portrait of Biff on the wall behind Biff, and there’s one moment where Biff kind of stands up and he takes exactly the same pose as the portrait? Yeah.... That’s what we were thinking about."'

Whoa. I'm not surprised! I'm reading this (at The Daily Beast) just after watching "Back to the Future II." Meade and I watched it together (on the Esquire channel (who knew there was an Esquire channel?)) in celebration of "Back to the Future" Day, and when that scene came up, Meade said: "Donald Trump." And I said: "That's what I thought too!"

The actor stands and takes the same pose as the photo/picture gag is a direct steal from 'Airplane'. Lloyd Bridges does the same thing, only with a photo.

I'm sure Hollywood and the "Entertainment" Industry is salivating over Trump. Finally, someone to mock to deride and if he gets elected they can play the "Speaking truth to power" schtik.

I'm sure after being in the tank for Obama, they're looking forward to it.

rcocean, I'm not sure Hollywood will be glad to see Trump elected. He'll deport all the people who mow their grass and clean their houses.

oh....bullshit. This is creating associations to fit the agenda.

I used to play this game with a fellow at work. I'd conflate a couple of news stories, and watch his head explode. The next time he stepped into my office, I would do it again. I didn't like the guy, and I knew how to push his buttons. Screaming liberal.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

I saw the second one in the theatre, but not the third, Trump is a scion, not an arriviste,

Great ride at Universal.

Yeah, I've been on that ride 20 times. My sons loved it.

I didn't know that there was a sequel to "Back To the Future." Let alone two of them.

Then again, I was vaguely aware of "The Lost World" (= Jurassic Park 2), and entirely unaware that it also had a sequel, and is about to get another one.

I was going to mention that there was Trump caricature in the 1994 Little Rascals remake and then I realized it was a cameo, not a spoof. There's a supercut of his many movie appearances in this Yahoo piece...

Except Trump didn't use a time machine and a sports almanac to get rich, so there's that...

Because Trump made his fortune in toxic waste dumps? And lived above his casino that included a museum to himself? All righty, then.

Pretty far reach. I expect it will mentioned by George Will or someone from National Review soon.

Yeah, he used a multi-million dollar stake from his developer dad.

I kind of liked the distaff sequel, Peggy Sue got Married better than any of the BttF sequels.

The Honest Trailer for Back to the Future also makes the connection.
