"... Clinton supporters are analogous to the wife in Battered Wife Syndrome...."

"In a brilliant critique that I've stolen from a young family friend of ours who recently earned his degree in psychology, Clinton supporters are analogous to the wife in Battered Wife Syndrome. Go ahead and look up BWS -- you'll see it works. Now plug in Media for Wife and you'll see the same. Trumpians too, though to a lesser degree because the abusive relationship is still in its early stage of dating -- romantic steak dinners, careful grooming, fancy golden hotels, and tender sexy words whispered in their hopeful ears."

Wrote Meade, in a comment, after HoodlumDoodlum said "No matter how much the Dems shit on the Media, the Media still love the Dems. Embarrassing!"

It seems pretty obvious. Clinton and Obama both despised the media and the media LOVED them. The GOP seems more fond of the media than the Dems for whatever reason. They are Dems with bylines.

No..the GOP Establishment is scared of the media. After all, the media might be mean to them and call them names.

Of course the media is always mean to Republicans, and calls them names.

Maybe it is fear. That would make some sense.

My view is: The press turned on John McCain. Every reporter's favorite Republican became a bigoted war monger in 2008, even as he ran a campaign softer on Obama than Sanders' campaign has been on Hillary.

You cannot trust them. Any Republican leaking to the media is an absolute imbecile and should be summarily fired for being an idiot.

Trump unlike every other Republican has figured out the obvious; the media is composed of Democrats with bylines and he treats them as what they are: propagandist. He has been effective in neutralizing the media by exposing them as and treating them as shills for the Democrats. It's amazing how Trumpy the amateur has been able to show the Emperor has no clothes while the professionals haven't a clue.

The battered wife syndrome is way off as an analogy. The media isn’t in love with the Democrats. The media is Democrats. They are people on a path going the same way. You can’t dissuade the media about unrequired love; it’s people with the same goal.

The situation in academia is the same. The Maoists are savaging the Leftist. But they are basically in agreement on the goal; they simply disagree about speed and have the occasional family feud about who is going to lead. The Yale couple who were attacked for suggesting that people could wear the Halloween costume of their choice did not fundamentally disagree with the young Maoists who drive them off campus. They pleaded with them that they really understood their concerns. They agree with the people who destroyed them.

A more apt analogy is not the battered wife, it’s the communist cadres who admitted to crimes against the state during the Stalin show trials.

You cannot trust them to favor the GOP or to favor any cause other than the constant "progress" of society (i.e., robbing selected Peter to pay collective Paul).

The newsrooms and news broadcast studios of America are nasty dens of collectivist and statist ideology. We are on our way to the social democracy of Europe (slow economic growth, cronyism, top-down micromanagement of society). That will work for a while, and then it won't work at all. For a speeded up version of the future, see Venezuela since 1998.

And the news organs of this country will be cheering our "social progress" even as the toilet paper disappears from the shelves at WalMart. (Of course, the Obamas and the Clintons and the Trumps and Tom Brokaw and Rachel Maddow will have access to toilet paper.) Chelsea Clinton will become the richest woman in America, just as Hugo Chavez's daughter is the richest person in Venezuela.

Atlas shrugged.

The MSM are "progressives;" not Democrats. If they are registered to vote at all, it is most likely as "Independents."
The idea is to manipulate the Democratic Party for their own ends through the "liberal" wing of the party, but as for having any loyalty or attachment to the Democratic Party as such, no. If anything they respect Democrat politicians even less than Republicans.

Bruce Hayden said...

Win or lose, thanks to Trump, politics in this country will never be the same. The MSM have been exposed as having clay feet, and no clothes. They are, almost uniformly, not very smart partisan hacks. Think about how stupid the screw ups were that brought down such household names as Dan Rather and, now, perky Katie Curic. He was stupid enough to try to sway the election with an impossibly fabulous story and obviously faked evidence. As if no one remembered that we didn't have Microsoft word when GW Bush was in the TANG. And Curic was first caught doctoring the video (thanks to the subjects of such not trusting her, and insisting on their own copy, for just that reason), and then it turning out that her people had committed multiple federal felonies in trying to prove our gun laws inadequate. It was actually quite humorous - her saying essentially that there should be a law against what we just did, and it turning out that there were laws, they had violated them, and their acts were federal felonies. Stupid people all around the MSM.

I think that the time this really hit home was when Candie Crawley broke Romney's momentum and protected Obama about Benghazi. Romney was, of course right, and she the lying POS. But the damage was done, and we had four more years of destruction of our economy, military, foreign relations, and values. We were starting to see this with the other Republican nominees, many of whom seemed to realize that they had to call the MSM out for what they really are, as evidenced by many of them threatening to walk out of that debate. But, they were still too timid, and that is not what we want. Trump is the nominee because no one can take this fight to the enemy better than he can.

So when my boyfriend came home after that night where he may have raped me he said he would never do a thing like that, that it was just a drunk misunderstanding, that's all.

I wanted to talk about it more, but he said if I kept bringing that shit up he would be gone for good. That didn't seem fair -- I had a lot of feelings about that night that I needed him to understand -- but I didn't want him to leave me.

Anyway, I was groggy from wine and Vicodin so I went to bed. He played a video game, I could hear it from the living room, then he came in a bit later and put his hand on my shoulder, and I pulled away. It was just a reflex, I think, I was pretty out of it, but it obviously hurt his feelings.

He said he wanted to sleep with me, but I told him I wasn't ready yet, I was still emotionally confused about 'that night'.

"Not that shit again" he said, and that maybe he just needed to find a girl who didn't have such problems.

I didn't want to have sex, but I didn't want to fight either. I said 'No' again, but then we had sex and I may have passed out during it, I don't remember.

When I woke up he was gone again. It's like I don't want this to keep happening but then it keeps happening. So I took some of the Vicodin I had left from my ski-boarding injury, and went back to sleep.

I thought being raped would be different.

Yup. I am still watching him with amazement as Romney and Kristol and others look like fools. Hugh Hewitt seems to be the latest to join the monkey chorus.

Win or lose, thanks to Trump, politics in this country will never be the same.

Actually, I think Obama changed everything. He was probably running for VP when he began in 2008. Then. he realized, like Trump now has, that accomplishments meant nothing if you were the right color (black but not too black) and you had made a few right choices like leaving the white girlfriend and marrying Michelle who had a similar affirmative action history.

His luck and charisma even carried him past a highly qualified opponent in 2012. McCain was getting too old in 2008 and the finacial crash wrecked the GOP chances no matter who the nominee was.

Romney was probably our last chance to avoid the crisis that is coming. There is no way the debt will ever be repaid. Social Security is bankrupt. The maze of regulations and lawless rule making has just about killed the economy except for moneychangers in New York and San Francisco. The only healthy economy is in Texas and that is ground zero for the left to attack.

The NeverTrumpers say they would rather see the coming crash blamed on Hillary than a Republican. They don't understand that he will begin the revolution, like Teddy Roosevelt Jr said, "We'll start the war from right here," when they landed him on the wrong beach on D-Day.

Trump is "creative destruction" in living color. When the train is going off the cliff, you pull the cord to stop it. Even if you don't know what will happen next,

The Republican Establishment is now dedicated to taking down Trump. Starting with Ryan's "text book racism" comment this week, and continuing with Romney's interviews on CNN, they are all lining up to give Hillary's campaign the meat of what will be her most devastating ads/debate lines against Trump. "Your own guys said this about you." Since Nixon's impeachment, that has always proven to be the most effective attack. (Conversely, the Democrats to a man and woman held the line against ever publicly condemning Clinton, even when he was caught red-handed in perjury.)

I don;t want to argue with you. We just disagree.

Michelle grew up four houses from where I grew up in Chicago. They bought their house years after we left. When I was growing up in that neighborhood, it was a lovely peaceful middle class area. Now it is a hellhole of violence so bad that blacks are moving away. Whites left years ago.

What do you think happened ? She was sent to Princeton by AA.

Ayres got a hold of Obama after he went to Chicago after Harvard Law. I suspect he was steered from Occidental to Columbia to Harvard Law by Muslim activists who groomed him. Maybe it was the Saudis. We may never find out.

Any way, unless you have a source that you are not disclosing, we are both expressing opinions, not facts.

I do not know why Obama left Occidental without a degree. Might be just "choom gang" behavior and flunking out. He went to Chicago - South Chicago - and got involved with "activism." For 3(?) years he worked as a "community organizer" out of an office on the same floor as Bill Ayers' office. (That, if anything, was dispensing AA, not receiving it.)
We have statements from 2 people who claim Bill Ayers' parents paid for his tuition at Columbia; one of them said it was Obama himself who told him this.
One person who said he was there when Obama came back to Chicago from Harvard, posted that Obama applied for a position at UC or UI-Chicago law school, and the dean threw his application on top of the pile and forgot about it. A couple of days later the dean got a phonecall advising him that he had misunderstood the situation; Mr. Obama was to be hired as a so-and-so, at a salary of such-and-such.
This is Chicago politics at work; not AA.

As for Michelle, I do not see that she ever has been very active for anything; she has just been a privileged daughter of the "organization" and have done as was expected of her, which is life as she knows it.

Let's review the record:

Obama went to Punahou School, where he focused on toking. He then went to Occidental for two years, and transferred to Columbia. He then showed up at Harvard Law School in 1988. Since no records have been released, it is hard to evaluate the extent, if at all, BHO benefited from lower standards for AA admits. His election as president of the Harvard Law Review is at a minimum a tribute to his political skills.

It is well known in Chicago that Newton Minow (father of current HLS dean Martha Minow) and Lew Manilow, both Democratic Party godfathers, were early sponsors of BO's career. They introduced him to the coterie of lakefront liberals that have run this town (into the ground) since the fifties. A nasty loss to Bobby Rush in a congressional primary was a temporary setback. It was on to the Illinois Senate (Where's Barry?), and the rest is history.

The only opponent he ever faced who didn't have a glass jaw was Bobby Rush, but that says more bad about the GOP than it does about him. He beat every chump he faced.

Michelle worked at Sidley & Austin after Princeton and HLS. I say may her days be long. Again, it is hard to say how much AA helped her, but she was well regarded at S&A. I think they liked her more than she liked them. She was working in Sidley's highly regarded media (mostly advertising law) practice. She left to take a good law job with the City of Chicago.

This is the way AA is supposed to work--find talented minority candidates and give them a chance. If you believe that racial integration in and of itself is valuable to our society, the Obamas are a success story.

The real problem is that many of us disagree with BHO's policies. Well, there were plenty of chances to beat him along the way, and we didn't do it. The anti-progressives need to up their game.

Is Trump the answer? I doubt it, but he will be entertaining in his cage match with first major party nominee to identify as a woman.

Battered Wife Syndrome isn't discussed much nowadays. Citizens are mostly powerless to select the people to govern. One vote doesn't go far and no one with a job and life has time to be politically active. Just not a worthwhile hobby so unless you're in the game you don't have time to keep track of who is being groomed to be the useless leaders of the major parties.

Trump is mocking all of them, which is good. He's the ultimate comedian. I doubt he'll win or even cares about winning (he probably wants to lose to get back to other things). His campaign is entertaining. And politics should be entertaining. The country at the federal, state, and local level is bankrupt and inept. If Trump can demolish the last vestiges of idealism in the citizenry or faith in political leaders, then mission accomplished.

Most of the men were professors, but the sisters were mostly embedded in administrative offices. (Do you watch "MASH" re-runs? Who do you most want on your side; the colonel or Radar?)
And all the sisters, without exception, were wholly convinced they had just been too early, and all hoped the revolution would still come while they were still strong enough to help man the barricades and load the guns.

I actually blame the Illinois GOP for this. Peter Fitzgerald was the Republican who defeated Mosley Braun but he was rejected by the GOP when he planned to run for re-election. He had not played ball with the "Combine" of which Hastert was a senior member.

Known as a maverick for his willingness to break party lines, Fitzgerald retired from the Senate in 2005 and was succeeded by Barack Obama.

After retiring from politics, he and his wife moved to McLean, Virginia. The son of millionaire banking magnate Gerald Francis Fitzgerald,[1] Peter founded Chain Bridge Bank in 2007.

They forced out FitzGerald and Ryan was recruited. Then the rest happened. What were FitzGerald's crimes ?

He was the first Republican in Illinois to win a U.S. Senate race in 20 years and the only Republican challenger in the country to defeat an incumbent Democratic senator in the 1998 election cycle.

Fitzgerald had two major moments in the spotlight in the Senate, the first in 2000 when he filibustered a massive federal spending bill because it included funds for the Lincoln Presidential Library in Springfield. He did it to bring to light the Democrat-controlled Illinois state government's failure to promise competitive bidding for the project. His second major moment was following the September 11, 2001 attacks, when Congress quickly passed a massive bailout measure for most of the major airlines, which were in trouble financially. Standing alone out of all members of the U.S. Senate, Fitzgerald delivered a speech, "Who will bail out the American taxpayer",[8] arguing that the airlines would simply go through the money and remain financially unstable. The bill passed 99-1.

Yup, pretty serious sins. Who cares about the taxpayer or competitive bidding ?

Yeah. I gave $1,000 to Jack Ryan's campaign a week before he withdrew. His ex-wife Jeri said throughout the campaign that Jack was an excellent father and she thought he would be an excellent senator. Then the Chicago Tribune (The World's Worst Newspaper) at the instigation of David Axelrod decided that the custody records (sealed by agreement in the interests of the son) had to become public. They sued and a complaisant Dem judge in Southern California unsealed the records of the custody battle. As everyone knows, the parties are on their best behavior and at their most truthful in a custody battle. The Trib managed to create a sex scandal for a GOP candidate with his own wife.

The editor of the Tribune said that if she had known how insignificant it was, she never would have pursued the records (another chump self-identifies). In the meantime, Jack was called to account by the hapless leaders of the Illinois GOP to whom he had been saying for three weeks that there was nothing embarrassing in the sealed divorce records. Jack dropped out, and the geniuses at GOP Central parachuted in Alan Keyes, who may be crazy. Interesting but unsurprising fact: Keyes was Bill Kristol's roommate at Harvard. That explains a lot.

In the course of the campaign, Keyes revealed that he supported reparations for black Americans. Who knew? That was the election where the rock-bottom, to the death number of Illinois GOP voters was revealed. It's 29%, because that was Keyes's percentage vs. BHO. So the Keyes campaign wasn't a total waste.

Yeah, BHO has had a tough row to hoe. No wonder he doesn't know anything. None of his opponents have even made him breathe hard.

To the people on this thread who think there was a dark conspiracy by the Wall Street/Weathermen/ Saudis/Bill Ayres/George Soros/Greenmantlesque types to put BHO in the White House: I think you need to look hard at the Illinois GOP. They appear to have been part of it.

Makes sense. In the past unpromising candidates (like W.) were groomed to "look the part." But Hillary was so horrible at it that the best they could do is to run a blundering patsy as her opponent.

But the state of one's mental health is not prone to a definition as labile as Clinton's. Or your typical Republican's, for that matter.

Inga said...

At the risk of being accused of hijacking the thread, this idea of "no exceptions" must be addressed. No exceptions for the mother's health? What about exceptions due to the health of the fetus? That is what separates the extremists from the realists. There are real physical exceptions that happen in pregnancies after 20 weeks.

Why one woman had an abortion after 20 weeks.

"If such a ban had been in place a year ago, I would have been condemned to carry and give birth to a baby who had no chance at life.

I have been happily married for more than a decade, and I have two beautiful children. When my husband and I found out last year that I was pregnant again, we were overjoyed.

At 20 weeks, my husband and I went for our favorite prenatal visit: the detailed ultrasound anatomy scan that shows your baby’s heart, kidneys, bladder, stomach, spine and brain and whether you’re having a girl or a boy. I could barely contain myself as I sat on the exam table, eager to meet our baby more intimately. My husband and I chit-chatted with the ultrasound technician, gabbing and laughing when we recognized familiar features on the ultrasound images.

But after five minutes, only my husband and I were talking. The technician had grown quiet. She just kept printing picture after picture and pressing the wand deeper into the gel on my stomach.

My husband and I reached for each other’s hands. We asked the technician if everything was all right, and she said we should wait for a doctor to talk to us. When the OB/GYN entered, I remember asking point-blank, “Is there a chance our child will be okay?” He responded kindly, softly and unequivocally: “No.”"

BTW, your candidate Trump has been all over the place with his stance on abortion.round and round he goes, where he stops no one knows. He's on the record of being in favor of partial birth abortion. How do you folks square that circle?

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

LOL - she's deleting whole passages in her book about her stance on TTP that no longer aid her in her deception and unprincipled climb for power.

Balls - Hillary is left or right depending on the day, and what it will get her.

True. But less predictable and more important is whose rights she'll revoke, depending on time of day and personal reward.

If she had her way both fetus and mother would go to hell. She's probably the only candidate who could manage to piss of both constituencies and be both anti-life and anti-choice.

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

Nope, AprilApple, I'm most definitely not "cool with that". Nothing I've said has pointed to that. And yes indeed there are people here arguing the "exception" clause. Have you skipped some comments upstream?

Miriam - what about all the women who have late-term abortions out of sheer laziness.

All of them? "All" of how many? The 1.3% of all abortions? I'm almost positive that "laziness" is even less a factor for those than it is for the others. As untruthful as Hillary is, I have to push back now and then. Miriam's source was accurate and the pie chart in there is important and informative.

Do they count? You cool with that?
You cool with Doc Goznell?

No one is. Who protested that guy's prosecution? Exactly nobody. There are laws and as difficult as you or anyone else finds it to define the line between murder and abortion, no one will prevent people from at least trying to find one.

Nobody is arguing there shouldn't be acceptations to necessary abortions.

I think most people who bring them up actually are doing that. Unless I'm mistaken, the late term stuff is almost exclusively medical tragedies. There are websites devoted to parents grieving from wanted pregnancies that had to be ended because of this. It's tragic stuff and regrettably distorted by putting it through the politics of the abortion lens.

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

Again - back to the media. The media buried the Gosnell story because it brought to the forefront the reality of late term abortion and its grizzly reality.

If Hillary is pressured to actually change her hard stance on pro-abortion-on-demand at all stages -then good. But I doubt it. Again, she's in this for herself. She will continue to use the red herring of ""for the health of the mother" to keep all abortions unrestricted. Europe is more progressive. She's a Planned Parenthood stooge.

Jeeez.

So 73% of black pregnancies are "medical tragedies?"

That's bullshit and even a MacDonald's server knows better,

I am prochoice and have done abortions long ago when it was legal in California and I was in training. However, it is important to be honest about what is happening. The pro-abortion Democrats (which includes all but Casey Sr who was barred from speaking at the D convention) set up these straw men arguments.

There is an argument that abortions such as the one in the WaPo article should be legal and very, very few deny that.

Personally, I think they should be legal until 20 weeks. These days there are almost no reasons for "mother's health" exceptions except breast cancer and melanoma which are both rare in pregnancy.

We used to see young women with mitral stenosis go into heart failure in third trimester but I doubt LA County hospital sees a case a year,

In fact, abortion has turned into a huge industry subsidized by the government. In Europe abortion is banned after 20 weeks with very rare exceptions.

Inga said...

AprilApple,
Again, sloppy sloppy sloppy. Clinton is on record with being OK with abortions restrictions WITH exceptions. You yourself just told a story about a case in which the "exceptions" would've come into play. I don't care how much you personally dislike her, that doesn't matter to me, but I've provided links to her public stance on late term abortion. You continue to assign a stance to her that she doesn't have. Sometimes ya just gotta slow down and read the article before you shoot off your mouth, or you risk looking like a knee jerker, know nothing.

Miriam - Not sloppy - You're just blind. I'm telling you, I don't believe her. Hillary is a known liar. She is also a cog in the abortion industry. Her "exceptions" clause is the exception she will use to keep all abortion on demand legal, no matter what. If Hillary ever has anything to do with a 20 week abortion ban - then I will eat my words.

Hillary will continue to use legal loopholes and "exceptions" as her dance, but *wink* the abortion industry know they can always count on her. Especially if the tax payer can be fleeced to pay for it all.

No one's impressed with whatever you did as a part of pre-specialist training 70 years ago or whenever, Dr. KKK. Put a reputable citation up there or STFU and get out. Guttmacher says it's <1.3% that are greater than or equal to 20 weeks post LMP. CDC's stats are similar (1.4% after 21 weeks). And I wouldn't even necessarily define all that as "late term." JAMA has published articles that wait until the third trimester to define as "late term."

So enough with your hatred of working people and blacks. Cite a verifiable statistic or shut up and get the fuck back onto your golf course or wherever it is you go to complain about your daughters.

Anyone here who actually thinks the federal government is going to regulate any non-patentable medical practice is fooling themselves, anyway. It's the states that do this stuff. The federal government is not going to get into the business of deciding which post-20 week LMP pregnancy is illegal and which isn't. Just not going to happen.

It's understandable that Dr. Michael KKK the anti-black, anti-working class witch doctor doesn't understand that regulation of health care and medicine takes place almost exclusively at the state level. But he's incorrigible. I'm just throwing this out there for people who actually care to learn the issues. Notice that the figure for percent of back pregnancies is not there ? Here is one source.

Childress: African Americans make up 12.4% of the population but 37% of all abortions; 52% of all African American pregnancies end in abortion; 1,786 African American babies are killed each day by the abortion industry. (Source? The Allen Gutmacher [institute]) (center for disease control)

I'm almost certain that in private you could get Monica Lewinsky's ex-boyfriend's wife to admit she agrees with bioethicist Peter Singer, that it's perfectly moral OK and fine to abort a baby after it's been born if it turns out to be defective in some way. The people who killed his maternal grandfather in the Theresienstadt concentration camp agreed with his stance. And post-birth abortion is commonly practiced in Communist China. According to one U.S. nurse who was over there, Chinese nurses were very puzzled about her questions about how to care for Down's Syndrome adults, before they finally realized what she was talking about. It was explained to her that that wasn't and wouldn't be a problem in China; those babies never left the delivery room as babies.

What I like even more are facts and reason.

Tell me how you feel you were courteous, humble, mature, etc., with your insistent refusal to explain why it is that you arrogantly claimed that the proportion of 52% of black pregnancies that were aborted after the 20th or 27th or whatever week represented 73% of all black pregnancies.

You can slither and weasel your way around why you did this, as you can any explanation for your refusal to apologize for or at least decently account for it.

But the reason you won't is probably because you are more obsessed with insulting me than with making a decent, productive contribution to this thread, or to any thread.

Am I wrong? Prove me wrong.

Or don't.

It seems like your entire self-image relies on bashing low-paid working folks, and equating me with them.

The burden is on you. Any decent and intelligent person reading this thread can see what you did, it's right there in front of everyone.

What you do on the internet usually stays forever, Michael K. (Or Dr. K. Or whatever title you think it is that reflects how truly important you must apparently feel that you are).

So long after anyone in the world knows or remembers who I am, or who you are, your assertion that the proportion of the 52% of black pregnancies that were aborted in a "late term" represented 73%! of all black pregnancies, will still be there. On the walls of time.

As a testament to your hatred to hard-working people and what anyone defending them had to say about the issues of the day.

Along with your book or whatever it is you wrote.

Show the world the sort of honor and smarts that a guy, a supposedly respected former surgeon, named "Michael K" had to give the world, in 2016.

It really is your call, big guy. But maybe you just don't have the strength to be less arrogant.

Is Dr. Michael KKK this sloppy with his surgeries? I bet he was.

So now the Surgeon of Sloppiness, Dr. Michael KKK, indicates that only humorlessness would dare request an accurate accounting of how, when it comes to the 52% of black pregnancies that are aborted, the proportion of those that are "late term" (by any definition), make up 73% of all black pregnancies.

He also thinks it could only be humorlessness, apparently, that would dare ask him why he's so petulant about refusing to admit his gross error, let alone figure out how he came about proposing such a sloppily wrong statistic regarding black women.

Maybe he had a traumatic malpractice suit, based on removing 73% of a small mass of tissue instead of 52% of a much bigger mass.

Your patients are not impressed, Sloppy Surgeon Dr. Michael Mengele KKK. You know, if you admit wrongdoing it makes malpractice suits not only less likely, but less disastrous on you financially.

This was cycling in the fetid pits of the Dem underground a week or two ago, and never made it out, since it was most likely the halcinigenic wet dream of some young Hillary operative. I did find it humorous in how she introduced it by claiming that she heard it. Likely in her daily Hillary campaign staff briefing materials. It will be interesting to see what is in them. For example, do they suggest creating a story about being long term happily married, and then discovering a major birth defect in late term to justify late term abortions? For me, it is far, far, too convenient that this heartbreaking story is the first thing we learn about Miriam's life, besides that she loves Hillary and hates Trump. I still believe that she is a Clinton campaign paid blogger, cycling through different blogs every day with different manufactured personas.

In ritmos defense-I know. It's not an excuse- he's usually pretty loaded by the time he gets here. I don't know if it's alchahol or drugs, but his usual liberal boiler plate is pretty lame so he has to liven it up with insults.
He's voting for Bernie.
That alone is an indication of his critical thinking skills.

They don't shit on them ... hey threaten them and like any good battered partner they change their behavior to "please" their partner ... but they do seem to slip in the shower alot and fall down the occasional stairs ...

"No, he is given to nasty insults about "masturbation" and my children. It goes back several months or even to last summer."

Last summer lol, MK you've been a self-righteous horse's ass since you first appeared at Althouse many years ago.

But in your defense you fit in quite nicely with all the other majority con self-righteous horse's ass folk who even get more self-righteous every time "they" lose another presidential election. Funny how that works.

Delusional disingenuous fools on a good day!

Pot, kettle, black.

Bullshit. But what's the point of being a right-winger if you can't invent your own reality.

KKK's been on my cccase since the first comment of mine he ever read. He really and truly is, literally, obsessed with me.

shiloh's right on this one.

I find it sort of amusing that Shilo is defending the bilious R&B, who probably has a lower opinion of his heroine, Hillary, than I do.

Well since we're not reactionary conservatives we can be free to actually defend each other or what's right without making something tribal out of it.

These punks wouldn't know the truth if it bit them.

Oh. You mean truths like this one:

So 73% of black pregnancies (end in late term abortion)...

Way to go when it comes to admitting when the facts don't support your argument.

I get it, though. It's good enough for Kevin Drum. Just not for you.

Maybe there's a supporting "link" for what you said that will make it all better.

I don't think so. Wealth is very mitigating in America. If it's an insanely wealthy KKK member - let alone one who just has a decent job, he will be forgiven everything. As an inveterately racist Donald Trump and the segregation-supporting Koch brothers have found out.

We have elections and trials for sale in America but apparently you think that being against racism has more cache work more lucrative than a burger flipper.

You are wrong.

Our entire systems of justice and right and wrong follow money; money determines morality in America.

"Trump is a worse liar and more corrupt, not even speaking of stupid." Evidence?

"This election is a personal choice between the lesser of two evils." It usually is. This year between Gordon Gecko and Nurse Ratched. I'd rather take my chances on Gecko, since at least he probably won't steal my guns or my gold, the two traditional shields against statism.

"I prefer Sanders" . . . Well, if you actually like socialism after all the lessons of the past one hundred plus years, that puts you in the hoplessly dense category, or the True Believer Secular Religionist category. Both are impervious to reason, and examples of what Voltaire called "invincible stupidity."

Am I doing this wrong? Even if I've found someone to be a complete asshole and liar on numerous previous threads, I try to encourage good behavior by treating them at least half-way politely on a new thread, as long as they are half-way decent themselves. People who insist on keeping up feuds from one thread to another are utter bores, and need to stop it. No one cares what any of you said about each other last summer, and no one believes you remember it accurately, either. What we can see is that Michael K is not in fact arguing like a Klansman, so R&B did in fact start the insults here, and the lies. Should I go straight to insults in the next half a dozen threads? I don't think so. Better would be for him to get a grip and stop lying.
