At last, a jaunt to NYC is possible!

Finally, a non-stop flight between Madison and NYC:
The flight will leave La Guardia at 3:40 p.m., arriving in Madison at 5:10 p.m.. The flight is then to leave Madison at 5:40 p.m., arriving at La Guardia at 9:01 p.m.
This might make a quick weekend trip to the city attractive. Having to pass through O'Hare, with all the potential for delays and missed flights, takes all the fun out of the idea. Thank you, American Eagle!

Why does everyone think the only place to get a connecting flight is thru the nightmare of O'Hare. I regularly fly (about 25 weeks a year) and almost always go effortlessly thru the beautiful new Northwest terminal in Detroit. Rarely face delays or any trouble there at all. Certainly not the canceled flights and bus trips back from O'hare.

It is nice that AA is offering this flight, but it's not the greatest and I will still take the connection on Northwest or one of their other partner airlines. The American flight is on a pretty small plane and I don't mind them for shorter flights, but almost 2 1/2 hrs is pretty long on the smallest of regional jets. Also this goes to La Guardia which is not the easiest airport to get into Manhattan from. Newark is a quick train ridge to Penn Station and your beloved Hotel Penn.

Joel: I found Newark really inconvenient. LaGuardia is a quick, cheap cab ride.
