Where have all the flowers gone?

By the way, I was at the new Super Target in Fitchburg tonight, and I noticed they cell cinnamon infused Maple Syrup. What a foul way to pollute maple syrup. So I agree with your vlog statement that cinnamon is overabundant in our culture.

Wow. The cinnamon thing so rattled me that I can't spell sell.

After reading some of the comments in the bridge post, are you still sure you'd be likely to enjoy a cruise with the Althousian commentariat?

Also, the question itself was partially inspired by Johann Hari's article about going undercover at an actual NRO cruise.

And since I can't get the damn song out of my head cause of Adrian, here's a YouTube video of the song.

Reading the note on the video, noticed Mary Weiss has started performing again, and of course she has a webpage.

Aarghh!  Adrian and XWL!  Why did you have to do that to me?  I can't get "Walkin' in the Sand" out of my head, and now that I went to YouTube, I can't get the young Mary Weiss's face out of it either!

I tried listening to some of the first act of Tannhäuser and even the second act of Monteverdi's l'Orfeo, and all I kept hearing was that cheesy surf sound effect.  I was waiting for Eurydice to break into "Oh no, oh no, oh no no no no no!" as she faded back into the Underworld.

The moral of the story is that no matter how much you're later exposed to, the music you were listening to when you were 14 will always be firmly wired in your mind.  And along comes Adrian and pulls the switch, and you're
...walkin' in the sand.
