Even if they let you supposedly "delete" your account, the dirty little secret is that you will still nevertheless live forever in archived backups.

Through the the last half of the 90s I operated a internet shell and web service provider, with about 7,000 users worldwide. I still have complete archives of all user files, including all emails sent and received.

Nothing is truly permanently deleted once it's been on the internet. At least precious very little is.
