At the Stump Nightclub...

... stop and stomp.

We might have the government spending $ 10 million to commission some "artist" to create a sculpture replica of those twisted roots.
Ha ha. He's remembering this. You know, I thought the stumps (especially the other one) were beautifully sculptural and wanted to bring them into the house. Meade hacked that idea off at the roots by agreeing on the condition that I be the one to carry them in.

Well, that's a very civil comment, eh! Wonderful metaphor for our current political scene too!

On the other hand, now we know the real reason that cobble stone streets are no longer in vogue, eh!

Google images assures me that someone else got there first.

Talk about twisted ... Here's the lede in Adam Nagourney's "analysis" in the Tuesday NY Times:

WASHINGTON — Passage of the health care legislation challenges the heart of the Republicans’ strategy this year: To present a unified opposition to big Democratic ideas, in this case expressed in a stream of bristling anger and occasional mischaracterizations of what the bill would do. (emphasis added)

That's pretty smug, even for the Times. The Uglycrats' selling of their bill has been one continuous screaming "mischaracterization," but Nagourney won't even nod in that direction. What a putz.

Once in awhile I'm tempted to get the Friday-Saturday-Sunday subscription of the Times. Then I read garbage of the kind Nagourney writes; and I decide against it. No need to encourage them.

1775OGG said...

Scott: New York Times? That is still being published! It's almost like the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the Red Star still exists but why encourage it?

No Social Security for you two oldies either. Find a free market solution, buy into some exchange because I don't want to pay for any of your stuff.

Thanks so much.

Titus, please don't attack Meade anymore. He didn't spend 48 hours on a bus for nothing. He's pissed off and payback's gonna be a bitch. :o You must've noticed the Althouse commenters warning us that the shooting war will soon commence. :o

And Althouse is irritated that Fox News told us the big rally Meade went to included people spewing racist and homophobic slurs, when she had wanted to tell us about how Meade felt everyone was being TOO NICE. How dare Fox News reporting otherwise when Meade sat on a bus for 48 hours to save the nation.

InstaPundit is pissed that Fox News allowed Geraldo Rivera on their airwaves last night immediately after we'd been not "only racketeered but defiled by the Dems”. Has Fox News gone socialist too?!

As a member of the loafing oaf class, I'm suddenly scared. I just noticed that one of the members of the productive class - the foie gras eating fatty, Palladian - was on here the entire night last night hurling insults at everyone and threatening violence. Apprently he was still trolling away at 8AM! As a member of the productive class, Palladian must've usually been in bed early on Sunday nights, so he could get up at 4AM and get a run in before getting a jump on the day doing all his productive shit that keeps this nation limping along for loafing oafs like me.

Have Palladian and other members of the productive class "gone Galt" on us like Michelle Malkin warned? :o You don't wanna fuck with Michelle Malkin -- she wrote a whole book about how she wants American citizens shoved into concentration camps! :o

Well, I dunno. It looks like the sun's about to come up again here in Ohio. I was told by the Althouse commenters last night that this is no longer America, but I feel fine. I think I'm gonna be okay.

Is Althouse okay, though? She used to have a moderate, independant blog, before her three boyfriends - Meade, InstaPundit, and Rush Limbaugh - got a hold of her.

LoafingOaf said...

That member of the "productive class" 0 Palladian - was going on all last night into the early morning in the various other threads. I didn't catch up till now.

Ah, PinchingLoaf, of course you would hate foie gras as you seem to be the sort of miserable, meddling, joyless, wheat-grass-enema of a person that likes to force your brand of abstemious dourness upon people who actually enjoy their lives.

About the only sensible thing ever to happen in Chicago politics was when the public rose up and told your fellow petty puritans to go and take a flying fuck at a duck when they overturned the brief ban on foie gras in their town.

As to why you think I'd care about the opinion of the Pope on culinary matters when he's also opposed to my very existence as a practicing homosexual, I cannot say as I cannot begin to understand the way a diseased brain such as yours operates.

I do owe you for the entirely honorable title you have bestowed upon me: Palladian: that obscenity-spewing, vile hedonist. I shall wear it with pride. And in the spirit of that title, I'm going to eat a little lobe of foie in your honor tomorrow, and raise a Baccarat crystal glass full of something expensive and alcoholic and shout aloud my toast to you: Viva Sarah Palin's Pussy! Long may it gnaw at PinchingLoaf's brain!

Oh, I thought the Pope might carry some sway with you, seeing how you suck up to the Christianist freakos so much. Guess what? A large percentage of the folks at the Tea Party rally Meade went to don't like homosexuals either. But you look the other way.

You can go on about how I have a diseased brain, and you may be right. But it takes quite a sicko to support the force-feeding torture of geese just to satisfy your disgusting need to boast that you ate something that cost a lot of money. Yes, you are a vile hedonist and proud of it. I doubt someone has to be a "puritan" to oppose the needless and barbaric torture of animals.

I agree 100% (although I also completely reject your homophobia, racisim, sexism, and ageism.)

@Chip, that was hysterically funny. I can barely wait to go to hell (long as it's peopled by good folks like you.)

eve: Oh, why stop there? Why don't you lock the bird into a tiny cage for weeks with no light, and then shove a tube 6 inches down the bird's neck to force feed it. And if that doesn't get enough food down, use a stick to pound some more in. That way you can cause the liver to grow ten times its normal size and get diseased. Then maybe you could have a delicacy that sickos like Palladian will pay top dollar for (even though it causes diseases in the people who consume it) just so they can brag about what a luxurious lifestyle they lead.

Then they'll come on the Althouse comment sections and claim they're moral people of high character. And we should know this because they are threatening violence against their fellow countrymen because Congress passed a bill that will allow people with pre-existing health conditions to get health insurance.

Loafing was funnier in the previous thread. The idea of one of the National Socialists accusing the Tea Partiers of the same tactics said National Socialists used on Dubya in regard to the campaign in Iraq in order to denigrate said Tea Partiers is hilarious.

"You're a racist and a sexist and a homophobe because you're using our tactics".

No. You're a pussy, and violence isn't needed. You'll suck up to whatever authority figure promises you he'll take care of you like a child. All he asks is that you be his slave, and you're wimp enough to do it. And self-congratulatory enough to think your enslavement makes you supremely ethical.

Why would anyone waste time threatening weaklings like you? Shit, you love to be dominated. Ain't exactly hard to accomplish, just promise a free pony and you're compliant as a kitten.

My fave part of Althouse's latest Bloggingheads:

(I hope m first attempt to post a link to a snippet succeeds)

Oaf's fave part of Althouse/Welch on Bloggingheads

Althouse: I think a lot more people would go to the Tea Party movement - um uh - demonstrations and so on if they knew that these were just really ordinary people who - uh ah - there's no flavor of racism to it at all....

Welch: Well, I don't know if I'd go as far as describe - uh - anybody who shows up at a political rally to be ordinary - ah haha - in this country. I've always...

Althouse: haha - yeah....

Welch: ...There's always something a little bit strange about....

Doesn't Althouse's laugh there sound a bit nervous, as if she's thinking, "Oops - Meade..."

Loafing Oaf's motto is "I surrender to superior force, with a willing smile." Politically, a romance novel damsel, hoping to be ravished by a muscular and sweaty government.

I bet you watched and thought, "Presidential material!"

And you'd be wrong, as usual. I see neither the appeal nor the revulsion the woman seems to inspire. A politician, nothing more.

It is a fascinating study in human nature to see what a catty little bitch exposure to Palin turns you into, though. Meow!

KCFleming said...

"Note that Althouse didn't attend the massively important Tea Party rally."

Note that LoafingOaf gave up his lunch money to anyone that looked at him funny, even before being bullied.

He carried this obsequious practice into adulthood, and preeningly calls it "moral".

Loafing Oaf: Your description of the force feeding of a goose is making me hungry. I think I'll go waterboard my cat.
