Cute. Great Britain has some good looking women.

Methadras, yes it does, although, Amanda Holden is cute too. Don't sell her short.

I'm sad about America's seeming lack of formality about anything.

Fortunately there are some holdouts at the New York Met Opera, and some other places, but few others it seems.

The woman sporting the lopsided black with gray and white striped spaceship on her head needed rebalancing as well as an alert that her skirt, hooked up in front, needed adjustment.

Oh?....it's suppose to look that way?

Lazlo Toth sent a letter to Queen Elizabeth apologizing for President Ford playing "The Lady Is a Tramp" at her state dinner, and proposing his own song, sung to the tune of "Won't You Come Home Bill Bailey"

The Lady Is A Queen by Lazlo Toth

She likes America even when it's cold and damp,
She's real classy, that's why she's on all the stamps,
She eats all they give her but she always stays lean,
That's why the Lady Is A Queen.

The pound may be falling, but her nose, it remains high.
It's like she's from the House of Wax, except she's alive.
She's really something royal, if she was a he she'd be a King,
That's why the Lady Is A Queen.

lemondog, total agreement. What is up with that outfit? It looks horrible!

The Queen looks great, though.

She waved to my Dad once. She was just a Princess then, and he was GI.

Hats are so cool. When you look at photos from earlier times (1920s to early 1950s) almost everyone wore a hat. Men and women.

The only time I wear a hat today is to protect myself from the sun when outside gardening or boating.

Too bad. Wearing hats, especially striking unusual ones, getting dressed up for special occasions is a lost art.

I bet there were NO men dressed in shorts or wrinkled tee shirts either.

Or baseball hats.

Jackie Kennedy wore that pillbox hat. That was the last famous hat style. Is there a word for the opposite of a trend setter--someone who is the last stylish person to adapt a dying fashion. Who was the last statesman to wear a morning coat to a diplomatic funcion?

What is it about horse races and weird hats? The Derby brings out the bizarre headgear, too.

WTF is wrong with the Brits and their headgear? I like hats, but many of these look they need to be put out of their misery and burned for good measure.

The hats or the people wearing them?

Quayle, I have to agree. How fun would it be to get to dress up like that...for a horse race?

Those hats (the 2 picture hats, white and slate gray, and the little thing with black chiffon excepted) are why women should design women's clothes.

I'm not into hats, but Amanda Holden is hot and that's what matters.
