Are you predicting something regarding the people in the first frame?

Meade;
Those are frogs not toads.

(but you knew that didn't you.)

Letting her hair down!

Geez, Althouse. You're so sexy when it comes to wildlife.

BTW, at the risk of sounding like a novice WTF were those birds? Turkeys?

Love how huge those frogs are. Wish we had them like that.

Now I'm starting to sound like Snoop Dogg on Plizzanet Earth.

The top toad is hurt and the bottom toad is helping him home.

Aw, look at the frogs hugging!

Ann Althouse said...

Yes, the birds are turkeys.

Toads, folks, toads. I know law school doesn't include amphibian taxonomy, but they are as different as rats and mice.

This shows the state of HS education in this country, if you can't even recognize what a differential equation looks like or plain math. We need to see the picture of the dumb woman who was the cause of this embarrassing incident.

"the cause of this embarrassing incident."

The guy does look like he could be Muslim but it seems a ridiculous incident.

I saw an applicant to the military yesterday who was interesting looking. He is Indian but very muscular like a body builder. He is also a mechanical engineer joining the US Army to get his citizenship.

He just didn't look Indian to me. I suppose that is a stereotype but this guy was 240 pounds.

Those wild turkeys are a plague and a pestilence down here. They come in flocks; their poop is bigger than most dogs', and unlike their cousins, they can bomb you with it.

In this true parable of 2016 I see another worrisome lesson, albeit one also possibly relevant to Trump’s appeal: That in America today, the only thing more terrifying than foreigners is…math.

From the WaPO article on the same topic I linked before. The UPenn prof interrogated because his seatmate could not recognize math. And speaking of Trump and his supporters -- we were at a nice restaurant eating dinner at the bar. The guy waiting on us was very nice and there were other with him who were all nice. All looked like 20+ year olds who looked like professional wait staff. Our guy was telling my neighbor that he had to move out of his parents house. So after we left, walking to the car, my husband said he felt sorry for that guy and the other wait staff. Coincidentally he also said, why don't these young people work hard (at math and science) and do better? But college education and student loans are a very big problem. The irony is that it works better for the few foreign students who come here with financial help than the local students who may not have the means but otherwise capable. Something has to change. Didn't Obama talk about student loans in his campaign and his first years? What did he do? Now Bernie is talking about free college and they are hopping on his bandwagon. Why would anybody think he will make it happen?
